Built by someone who boxes

My name is Auguste Fried. I’m born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. I started boxing when I was 16 or 17 at Gleason’s Gym. When I got to college, I founded the Boxing Club & Team at Indiana University, and went on to win my bracket at the USIBA College Boxing National Tournament during my junior year. Throughout my amateur career, I’ve closely followed the sport at both national and international levels.

There are many reasons for building this platform, but I can pretty much narrow it down to one sentence: amateur boxing needs a home.

What the record is for

• Boxers own their record. Results, footage, ranking and medals in one place — the thing that gets you a national team place or a first professional contract.
• The step to the professional ranks becomes evidence. A promoter can watch the bouts instead of taking a manager’s word for them.
• Federations get a working tool. Find and compare their own boxers, see who is actually active, and pick a team from results rather than reputation.
• Judging gets a public record. Every bout carries the officials’ own cards, and anyone can mark the same card. Disagreement becomes visible instead of anecdotal.
• Everyone gets to take part. Fans score fights, boxers claim their pages, and clubs and federations put their events on the map.

What we won’t do

We won’t put the federations’ own footage behind a paywall — they filmed it, it plays here through their players, and watching is free. We won’t change or hide a result, whoever asks. And we won’t sell a boxer’s contact details; a boxer decides for themselves whether anyone can reach them.
